MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011407 A) filed by Best Agrolife Ltd., New Delhi, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'an improved process for the preparation of tembotrione.'
Inventor(s) include Pramod N. Karlekar; Dr. Rajendra Kharul; Surendra Sai Nallamalli; Dr. Suresh Iyyer; and Deepak Ranjane.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an improved process for the preparation of herbicidal triketone compound. More particularly, the present invention relates to an improved process for preparation of Tembotrione of formula (I). Further, the present invention relates to an agrochemical composition, comprising at least a bio-active effective amount of Tembotrione of formula (I) and a process for preparing same. Tembotrione of Formula (I)."
