MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411016793 A) filed by Lohia Corp Limited, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on March 8, 2024, for 'an improved reed ring assembly and a circular weaving machine having the improved reed ring assembly.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Gaurav Lohia.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses an improved reed ring assembly (1a) comprising and upper reed ring (2), and a lower reed ring (3) between which sets of improved reed bars (4a) and improved reed strips (5a) having a humped profile (14) at one end and scooped profile at the other end are arranged angularly. Improved reed bars (4a) are fastened with fasteners and improved reed strips (5a) are placed between them with synthetic resin (10). A shuttle assembly (6) runs on inner surface of improved reed ring assembly (1a) and warp tapes (7) pass through gaps between the improved reed strips (5a). The assembly of the invention helps improve the production of woven tubular fabric in circular weaving looms. The humped profile as well as the resin poured secure reed bars (4a) and reed strips (5a) to the upper and lower reed rings and distribute loom vibrations uniformly."
