MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311086559 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 18, 2023, for 'an improved suspension assmebly for an appliance.'

Inventor(s) include Agrawal Ashutosh; and Sharma Anil Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An improved suspension assembly (104) for reducing reaction force transferred to an appliance is provided. The improved suspension assembly (104) includes a suspension rod (204) coupled to a cabinet of the appliance, a lower damping assembly (200) coupled to the bottom of the suspension rod, and an upper damping assembly (202) coupled to the top of the suspension rod. The upper damping assembly (202) includes a suspension cylinder (212) and a secondary spring (216) provided inside the suspension cylinder (212) to reduce a reaction force generated by the lower damping assembly (200). The suspension rod (204) is coupled to the suspension cylinder (212) through the secondary spring (216) to allow the movement of the suspension rod (204) inside the suspension cylinder (212) for reducing the reaction force generated by the lower damping assembly (200) by pushing the suspension rod (204) outside the suspension cylinder."
