MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311081316 A) filed by Havells India Ltd., Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 30, 2023, for 'an in-ground lighting assembly.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A lighting assembly (100) that has a housing member (106), a connecting member (104), and a lighting unit (102), is disclosed. The connecting member (104) is detachably coupled to the housing member (106) and includes an upper portion (210), a lower portion (206), and a step portion (208). The lower portion (206) is adapted to be engaged with the housing member (106), such that the connecting member (104) is rotated in one of a clockwise and an anti-clockwise direction to displace the connecting member (104) in an axial direction with respect to the housing member (106). The lighting unit (102) is adapted to be inserted through the upper portion (210) and to be partially received in the housing member (106). The lighting unit (102) is adapted to be supported on the step portion (208)."
