MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010572 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 31, for 'an integrated supply chain optimization and decision system.'

Inventor(s) include Karmrajsinhji Raulji; Vrj Subrahmanyam; Krunalsinh Yadav; and Dr. Shruti Maheshwari.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention provides a sustainable supply chain optimization system (100) that processes operational parameters through coordinated analytical and optimization modules. An acquisition module (102) collects supply chain data including demand, pricing, inventory, and sustainability metrics, which are forwarded to a cohort optimization module (104) that produces initial optimization outputs by forming and refining cohorts of solution candidates. These outputs are further improved by an ant optimization module (106) using pheromone-based selection to determine efficient routing, resource allocation, or scheduling patterns. The refined results are then supplied to a regression module (108) that generates predictive insights through machine learning regression models trained on historical datasets. A decision module (110) integrates the optimized and predictive outputs to produce consolidated supply chain decisions relating to availability, cost, and sustainability considerations. The system enables structured processing of supply chain parameters and supports coherent decision-making in dynamic operational environments."
