According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An international roaming server for activation and deactivation of an international roaming profile [0044] The invention disclosed herein provides an international roaming server (IRS (100)) that is used to activate international roaming for a predetermined visa validity period and deactivates on expiry of the visa period. The basic architecture includes base 5 transceiver station (BTS), base station controller (BSC), mobile service switching centre (MSC), home location register (HLR), International Roaming Server (IRS (100)), and a network service provider. The IRS (100) includes a variable module (101), an application server (102) and a database (103). The variable module (101) includes interactive voice response (IVR) module, mobile app module or website module that is selected based on 10 the choice of communication from the visa office or telecom operator office. The application server (102) accepts the request from a user and gives requisite command for activation and deactivation of international roaming. The database (103) stores all the input data and the choice of all international roaming plan by a user."
