The present invention includes a curtain (102), a sensor (104), a solar panel (106), a computing unit (108), a memory unit (110), a processor unit (112) and a user device (114). The system (100) is integrated with IOT platform to enable automated control and enhanced solar energy capture and room illumination. The sensor (104) is configured to detect the status of the curtain (102). The solar panel (106) is foldable and captures solar energy and permit sunlight to illuminate interior space. The computing unit (108) includes the memory unit (110) and the processor unit (112), stores and pre-process data related to remote monitoring and control of the system (100). The user device (114) transmit control commands to the computing unit (108) for automated control of the system (100)."
