MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133298 A) filed by Dr. Mahalingam College Of Engineering And Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'an iot enabled intelligent aqua sense purifier with essential mineral level tracking and optimization system.'
Inventor(s) include Dharani S; Dr, K. Saranya; and K. C, Rajarajeswari.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an intelligent water quality monitoring system which will enforce presence of essentials minerals to ensure it is safest to consume not causing any health-related problems and also for commercial purposes. The regulatory system is designed to measure, analyse, indicate the mineral levels to user for maintaining safe drinking of water when it meets the threshold level. The system integrates a multi-sensor module comprising Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) sensors, mineral-ion selective electrodes, temperature sensors, and flow sensors to continuously determine the concentration of dissolved impurities and essential minerals in real time. A microcontroller-based processing unit executes a calibration-enhanced algorithm that correlates electrical conductivity, ionspecific readings, and temperature compensation to accurately estimate mineral composition and purity level indicating whether it is safer to consume. The system further incorporates a dynamic purity-assurance module that compares measured values with predefined safety thresholds values of various evaluation measures such as TDS, Magnesium, calcium, iron, sodium. Zinc mineral-balance level requirements in drinking water. When any mismatches are detected, the system automatically suggests corrective mechanisms such as activated- carbon filtration, RO bypass adjustment, or mineral-cartridge activation to restore water purity and essential mineral levels. A user interface, supported by wireless communication, provides real-time water-quality indicators, purity alerts, and predictive maintenance notifications on timely manner to user. The invention ensures consistent delivery of safe, mineral-balanced drinking water and reducing time consuming manual water-quality testing with automated continuous monitoring, adjustment, and intelligent control providing ease for user."
