MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511127297 A) filed by Graphic Era Deemed To Be University; and Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Dec. 16, 2025, for 'an odor-neutralizing antibiotic ointment for wound care applications.'

The formulation includes cyclodextrin complexes (105) and activated zinc-oxide structures (106) for capturing and neutralizing malodorous volatile compounds, supported by a micro-structured carrier matrix (107) enabling sustained antimicrobial release. The invention provides enhanced wound hygiene, microbial suppression, odor elimination, and improved patient comfort during acute and chronic wound-care applications."
