MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017749 A) filed by Schaeffler Technologies Ag & Co. Kg, Herzogenaurach, Germany, on March 12, 2024, for 'an outer basket assembly for a clutch unit.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to an outer basket assembly (101) for a clutch unit (100) of a vehicle. The outer basket assembly (101) may include a basket (102) having a base (104) and a reinforcement member (110). The base (104) may include a central opening (106) and a plurality of first slots (108) spaced radially around the central opening (106). The reinforcement member (110) may be coupled with the base (104) of the basket (102). The reinforcement member (110) may include a plurality of second slots (112) and at least a pair of supporting members (114). The plurality of second slots (112) may be adapted to be aligned with the plurality of first slots (108) of the base (104). The at least a pair of supporting members (114) extends from each second slot (112) and forms a surface contact with a peripheral surface of each first slot (108)."
