MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024012 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'animal rescue device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An animal rescue device, comprises of a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface guarded with fence wires and installed with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 to detect animal stuck between fence wires, multiple wheels 3 to maneuver the platform 1 near animal, a pair of telescopically operated rods 4 installed with a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated links 5 being configured with a plate 6 to allow animal to release from fence wires, a pair of telescopically operated grippers 7 to lift the fence wires, a robotic arm 8 configured with a cutter to release the animal, a roller 9 wrapped with fence wire 10 to unwrap a suitable length of fence wire 10 and the robotic arm 8 to engage the cut wire 10 with pre-installed for guarding the area and preventing the animals from moving out of the guarded area."
