MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517011820 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 12, for 'anode active material, method for preparing anode active material, anode composition, lithium secondary battery anode comprising same, and lithium secondary battery comprising anode.'
Inventor(s) include Hyun, Jaeik; Lee, Yong Ju; Kim, Donghyuk; and Kim, Dohyeun.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is anode active material comprising a silicon-based active material, wherein the silicon-based active material includes silicon-based grains, the high-angle grain boundary in the silicon-based grains is 30% or higher, and the silicon-based active material satisfies the following formulas 1 and 2: [Formula 1] 1m = the particle size (D50) of a silicon-based active material = 10m [Formula 2] 2nm = the grain size of a silicon-based active material = 1m."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 31, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/001456.
