According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Antidiabetic activities of Annona Squamosa and Psidium Guajava leaf extracts The present invention relates to a phytochemical formulation derived from the leaf extracts of Annona squamosa and Psidium guajava for potential use in the treatment of diabetes. The invention involves the extraction and characterization of phytochemical constituents from the said plants, followed by an in silico analysis to evaluate their interactions with diabetes-related protein targets. A preclinical study was conducted using Albino Wistar rats to assess the glucose-lowering efficacy of the crude extracts. The results demonstrated significant antidiabetic activity, with notable improvements in histopathological features of the liver, spleen, and pancreas. The findings support the potential of the combined leaf extracts of A. squamosa and P. guajava as a promising plant-based therapeutic approach for diabetes management."
