MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517010354 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 7, for 'apparatus and method for managing battery.'

Inventor(s) include Yoon, Seo-Young; Choi, Soon-Hyung; and Kim, Dae-Soo.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus for managing a battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a profile acquisition unit configured to acquire a measured full cell profile indicating the correspondence between the voltage and the capacity of the battery; a profile determination unit configured to divide the measured full cell profile into a plurality of sections according to a prescribed criterion, adjust a preset reference positive electrode profile and a preset reference negative electrode profile to correspond to the plurality of sections, and generate a plurality of adjusted positive electrode profiles and a plurality of adjusted negative electrode profiles according to the results of the adjustment; and a control unit configured to determine diagnosis factors for the battery in at least one of the plurality of adjusted positive electrode profiles or the plurality of adjusted negative electrode profiles."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/021507.
