MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621029290 A) filed by Sage University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on March 11, for 'apparatus and method for object detection and auditory notification.'
Inventor(s) include Ms. Sakshi Agrawal; Prof. Jitendra Sharma; Prof. Anjali Uprit; Suhana Gupta; and Sonal Chhapre.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus (100) for object detection and auditory notification configured for autonomous operation comprises a photovoltaic panel (102) configured to generate electrical power from solar irradiance, a rechargeable battery (104) electrically coupled to the photovoltaic panel (102), an audio transducer (106) configured to convert auditory output data to acoustic waves, and a hardware processor (108) operatively coupled to the rechargeable battery (104) and the audio transducer (106). The hardware processor (108) monitors distance measurements from an ultrasonic proximity sensor, selectively activates an image sensor when monitored distance indicates an object within a predetermined threshold distance, determines object category classification based on image data and pre-trained classification parameters stored locally, generates auditory output data in a pre-configured regional language based on determined classification, and communicates signals to the audio transducer (106) for object identification."
