MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621030057 A) filed by Sage University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on March 12, for 'apparatus and method for sewage treatment monitoring.'
Inventor(s) include Ms. Sakshi Agrawal; Dr. Rajesh Kumar Nagar; Dr. Vijaya Jain; Disha Pimpalgaonkar; Omendro Reang; and Md Nawaz Imam.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus (100) for sewage treatment monitoring includes a single printed circuit board (102) having a plurality of screw terminal blocks configured to accept removable electrical connections to external water quality sensors. The single printed circuit board (102) is configured to convert current signals received from the external water quality sensors to voltage signals. A hardware processor (104) mounted on the single printed circuit board (102) is configured to receive the voltage signals corresponding to water quality parameters, convert the voltage signals to water quality parameter values. The hardware processor (104) compares the water quality parameter values against predetermined threshold values stored in non-volatile memory and generates an alert signal when a water quality parameter value deviates from a predetermined threshold value for a predetermined persistence duration. The alert signal is configured to notify operators of sewage treatment facilities of water quality threshold violations."
