MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517072579 A) filed by I. M. A. Industria Macchine Automatiche S. P. A., Ozzano dell'Emilia, Italy, on July 30, for 'apparatus and method for sizing a box containing one or more objects to be packaged.'
Inventor(s) include Rea, Dario; Carapia, Alessandro; and Minarelli, Massimiliano.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Apparatus (10) for sizing a box (100) having lateral walls (102, 103, 104, 105) delimited by vertical edges (106) and a horizontal base wall (101), and containing one or more objects. The apparatus (10) comprises a first frame (11), which is provided with a base (14) configured to support a box (100), a resizing unit (15) comprising a second frame (16) configured to support a cutting and creasing unit (17) which comprises at least one cutting and creasing device (30a) having both a cutting member (32) and also a creasing member (33) which can be activated in a coordinated manner with each other."
