MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431004139 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Guwahati, Assam, on Jan. 20, 2024, for 'apparatus for impression mapping of foot structures.'
Inventor(s) include Aman Singh; Kishore Kumar Padi; and S Kanagaraj.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus for impression mapping of foot structures (1501, 102), to make a negative impression for making orthotic devices, comprising: frame (101) hosting a forming bag (102) filled with a medium (301) of being displaceable while capturing impression of a foot (1501, 1502), a platform (1002) whose top surface (1101) configured to lift said forming bag (102), a laterally located push blade system (103) touching said forming bag (102), to receive said transmitted captured impression, said push blade system (103) configured to compress said forming bag (102)."
