MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547059036 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on June 19, for 'apparatuses, methods and computer program for index modulation.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure relates to an apparatus comprising : means for receiving (1700), from a base station, an indication of a block configuration for a resource block, wherein the block configuration configures at least one reference signal symbol on a pre-defined fixed position in the resource block to convey data via index modulation; and means for receiving (1702), from the base station, the resource block according to the block configuration or means for transmitting (1702), to the base station, the resource block according to the block configuration."
