MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018857 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'arm support device for injured person.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ravindra Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An arm support device for injured person, comprising a cylindrical hollow body 1 accommodated around injured arm of a user, a strap 2 is accommodated around neck for providing support, a laser sensor determines dimensions of arm, an air compressor inflates an inflatable member equipped within body 1 for securing body 1 over arm, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 detects injury in finger's, multiple telescopically operated rods 4 extend and position multiple cylindrical hollow units 5 near fingers for allowing user to insert in units 5 for protection from external environment, a laser acuity sensor detects dimensions of fingers, an iris lid 6 grips fingers, a medical practitioner access a computing unit to feed command for monitoring condition of arm, an X-ray imaging unit 7 captures images of arm which are displayed over computing unit for allowing medical practitioner to evaluate condition of injury."
