MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023274 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'armored cable bending assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Satendra Singh; and Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An armored cable bending assistive device comprises a platform 1 configured with multiple telescopic rods 2, an ultrasonic sensor embedded within the platform 1 detects height of a user, a supporting bar 3 configured with a hollow cylindrical body 4 that is accessed by the user to accommodate an armored cable inside the body 4, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 detects presence and dimensions of the accommodated cable, plurality of pneumatic blocks 6 integrated inside the body 4 clasps the cable within the body 4, a touch interactive display panel 7 for user input, a DC motor coupled with the microcontroller providing rotational movement to a circular ring-shaped structure 8 configured in between the platform 1 and bar 3, a pair of robotic grippers 9 installed on the platform 1 grips and position the bent cable into a Digital Megger Unit to measure resistance of the cable."
