The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention describes an artificial intelligence based Placement Readiness Intelligence System configured to continuously evaluate student employability for company-specific placement readiness. The system acquires heterogeneous data including academic records, technical competencies, communication ability, aptitude performance, internship outcomes, attendance, participation behaviour, resumes, and mock interview media. The acquired data is preprocessed and transformed into employability indicators, which are analysed through weighted models to generate a composite placement readiness index. The system further parses resumes to detect skill deficiencies and role mismatch, evaluates audio-video interview responses for behavioural and semantic indicators, maps recruiter-specific eligibility and job-role requirements with student profiles, and predicts selection probability, aptitude clearance likelihood, and expected salary range using historical placement patterns. The system additionally generates targeted skill-gap alerts and training recommendations, thereby enabling institutions to perform objective, scalable, evidence-based, and role-aligned placement management beyond conventional CGPA-centric screening."
