MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641047876 A) filed by Mohammed Farheen; Bantupalli Kishor Babu; Kupireddy Harsha Vardhan; Billa Beaulah Angel; Daggu Hemanth; Damacharla Venkata Sanjay; and Bapatla Engineering College, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, on April 15, for 'artificial intelligence-based system for conducting and evaluating job interviews using multimodal analysis and adaptive questioning.'
Inventor(s) include Mohammed Farheen; Bantupalli Kishor Babu; Kupireddy Harsha Vardhan; Billa Beaulah Angel; Daggu Hemanth; Damacharla Venkata Sanjay; and Bapatla.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This project presents an Artificial Intelligence-Based System for Conducting and Evaluating Job Interviews Using Multimodal Analysis and Adaptive Questioning and Recruitment Platform designed to provide an intelligent, adaptive, and scalable environment for interview preparation and candidate evaluation. The system leverages advanced Artificial Intelligence technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision (CV), Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), and Reinforcement Learning, to simulate real-world interview scenarios. The platform supports two operational modes: a Mock Interview mode for individual skill development and a Candidate Interview mode for recruitment-driven assessment. It dynamically generates role-specific interview questions based on job descriptions and candidate profiles, ensuring contextual relevance. A reinforcement learning mechanism adapts question difficulty in real time according to candidate performance, enabling a personalized interview experience. The system performs multimodal analysis by evaluating candidate responses through text, speech, and video inputs. It assesses key parameters such as content accuracy, semantic similarity, communication clarity, tone, confidence, and facial expressions. Additionally, an AI-powered proctoring module monitors candidate behavior to ensure interview integrity. To enhance transparency and fairness, the platform incorporates Explainable AI (XAI) techniques to justify scoring decisions and employs bias-aware evaluation mechanisms. At the end of each session, a comprehensive performance report is generated, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, correct answers, and actionable improvement suggestions. The proposed system offers an effective solution for improving interview readiness and optimizing recruitment processes, making it valuable for both candidates and organizations."
