MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004740 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'artificial-intelligence based thread-art training device.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An artificial-intelligence based thread-art training device, comprising a circular frame 1 positioned on a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 for selecting a design pattern which is to be made, multiple motorized rollers 3 coiled with threads of varying colors configured with frame 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed on frame 1 to determine positioning of user's hand gripping thread with respect to frame 1, a LED 6 to get illuminated for guiding user to pass and engage thread on a particular pin as per evaluated pattern, multiple clamping units 7 integrated on frame 1 by means of a circular motorized slider 8 to translate clamping units 7 along slider 8 for positioning clamping units 7 in proximity to engaged pins 5 and a speaker to produce audio notification for user to properly orient threads on panel 2."
