MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018822 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'assistive crown cementation device.'
Inventor(s) include Madhurima Sharma; and Rohit Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive crown cementation device comprises of an elongated body 1 configured with a handle 2 developed to be accessed by a concerned medical practitioner, a push button 3 installed on body 1 for activating device, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for capturing multiple images in vicinity to body 1, a clamping unit 5 for enabling the medical practitioner to engage artificial cap, a touch sensor to detects contact of cap with clamping unit 5, a laser measurement sensor monitors dimensions of artificial cap, a robotic link 6 installed on body 1 to position grinding unit 7 on cap and to trim cap, electronic nozzle 9 configured on end portion of body 1 and connected with chamber 8 dispenses an appropriate amount of filler onto crown portion, telescopic link 10 configured with a curve shaped member 11 for positioning member 11 in proximity to capped crown portion."
