MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020742 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'assistive device for conducing phone call in public place.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Mohit Srivastava; Dr. Ankur Singhal; Diksha; and Devinder Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive device for conducing phone call in public place, comprising a frame 1 affixed with a ground surface by means of sharp links 2 configured beneath the frame 1, plurality of plates 3 configured with the frame 1 layered with an acoustic material for absorbing surrounding noise, an imaging unit 4 installed over the frame 1 for determining facial features of a user, a flap 5 configured with each of the plates 3 to provide seating area to the user, a display panel 6 installed over the plate 3 for enabling user input commands, a speaker 7 installed over the plate 3 for informing the user regarding a converted conversation, an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light 8 installed over each of the plates 3 for maintaining appropriate visibility around the user and a chamber 9 stored with sanitizing solution for sanitizing the plates 3 and flaps 5."
