MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441014226 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'assistive device for lifting workpiece.'
Inventor(s) include Deepanshu Singh Satwaliya.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive device for lifting workpiece, comprises of a platform 1 having a column 2 installed on a ground surface, multiple omnidirectional wheels 3 for positioning platform 1 in proximity to a workpiece that a user desires to lift, a display panel 4 for enabling user to input details and based on which, an inbuilt microcontroller actuates wheels 3 to maneuver platform 1 in view of positioning a wedge-shaped plank 5 underneath workpiece, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting thickness of workpiece, a motorized sliding unit 10 for positioning a plate 6 over workpiece in view of securing workpiece, an imaging unit 7 for detecting successful securing of workpiece, a rack and pinion arrangement 8 lifts workpiece, an angle sensor for detecting angle of workpiece with respect to platform 1 and an audio unit 9 for notifying the user regarding successful positioning of workpiece as per requirement of user."
