MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018883 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'assistive device for performing abdomen strengthening exercise.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ekta Kapoor; and Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an assistive device for performing abdomen strengthening exercise, comprising a frame 1 assembled with a pair of members 2 for allowing user to support elbow, an inflating unit configured with each member 2 for inflating to provide comfort, a circular disc 4 attached with frame 1 for allowing user to rotate disc 4 on ground surface to perform abdomen strengthening exercise, a camera 5 installed on frame 1 for capturing and detecting user's height, a pair of omnidirectional wheels 6 attached with disc 4 via a set of L-shaped telescopically operated rod 7 for extending to position wheels 6 on ground surface, followed by actuation of a DC (direct current) motor connected with each wheel 6 for rotating wheels 6 in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction, thus aiding user in performing exercise."
