MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024833 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'assistive device for performing arm and leg strengthening exercise.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Anjoo Kamboj; Dr. Supriya Agnihotri; Dr. Saurabh Sharma; Komal; and Suvrat.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive device for performing arm and leg strengthening exercise comprises of a platform 1 positioned over a ground surface by means of plurality of rods 2, a plate 9 configured with the platform 1 by means of a sliding rail 5 that is accessed by a user to perform arm or leg strengthening exercise, an inverted U-shaped extendable frame 3 configured over the platform 1 by means of hand(s)/feet to apply pressure over the frame 3 that results in translation of the plate 9 over the platform 1 via the sliding rail 5 for performing arm and leg strengthening exercise respectively, a moisture sensor is arranged over the frame 3 to monitor presence of sweat over the hand(s)/feet, and an air blower 11 arranged over the frame 3 to blow air over the hand(s)/feet in order to remove the detected sweat."
