MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011300 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'assistive device for plastering of concrete surfaces.'

Inventor(s) include Arun Kumar Pipersenia.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive device for plastering of concrete surfaces characterizes an elongated body 1 with a handle 2 for user grip and integrated with an imaging unit 3 for determining the shape of the concrete surface that is to be plastered, pair of telescopically operated rods 4 on the body 1's lateral ends support a flexible plate 5, connected by extendable links 6 and an electromagnet 7, the plate 5's structure adjusts according to the determined shape, a pivot joint 8 enables tilting movement for the user to lift an appropriate amount of concrete mixture that is present nearby, with a weight sensor monitors the lifted quantity, while a speaker 9 provides audio guidance for maintaining the correct amount of mixture on the plate 5, also a retractable flap 10 is positioned beneath the plate 5 collects any falling mixture."
