MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017931 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'assistive device for preparing fermented rice cake.'
Inventor(s) include Diptonil Banerjee.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive device for preparing fermented rice cake comprises a frame 1 configured with multiple circular sections 2 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, each of the sections 2 is equipped with a silicon padding for positioning a fermented batter over the sections 2, a weight sensor embedded within each section for detecting proper filling of the batter, a level senor embedded on the frame 1 for detecting level of water, a buzzer 3 embedded on the frame 1 for beeping in order to notify the user, a sensing module includes an odor senor and a tactile sensor embedded within each of the sections 2 for monitoring odor and hardness of the batter, and an ultrasonic senor is embedded on the frame 1 for detecting distance of the user's hand from the frame 1."
