MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010392 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'assistive driving system for vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashima Kalra; Dr. Pradeep Gaur; Aman Aashish Singh; Ravi Kumar; and Shashwat Bhalwal.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assistive driving system for vehicles comprises of, a platform 1 developed to be positioned on floor of a vehicle in proximity to pedals, multiple suction cups 2 for firmly gripping the floor, an artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 3 to determine position of the pedals, a telescopic rod 4 to extends and position a plate 5 above the pedals, a proximity sensor for determining distance of the pedals, a sliding unit 6 to slide multiple telescopic pushers 7 and position the pushers 7 in proximity to respective pedals, and a touch interactive display for displaying optional tabs of the pedals to a user, multiple telescopic pushers 7 to push the pedals as per user's selection, and a pressure sensor for determining amount of pressure applied over the pedals."
