MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023094 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'automated agricultural produce cutting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated agricultural produce cutting device, comprises of a platform 1 positioned over a fixed surface accessed by the user to position agricultural produce to be cut, suction cups 2 adhere the platform 1 over the surface, a display panel 3 enables user to provide input, an imaging unit 4 captures images of agricultural produce, inverted L-shaped hydraulic rods 7 extend/retract to position a second plate 6 beneath the first one, grippers 8 grip agricultural produce and position between the plates, plurality of blades 9 cut the agricultural produce, a cavity 10 enables passage of the diced agricultural produce in the axillary container, circular sliding unit translates pneumatic pins 11 for peeling, proximity sensor monitors distance of each pin from the produce."
