MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024057 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated alloy wheel rim maintenance device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Dilip Kumar; and Dr. Ashutosh Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated alloy wheel rim maintenance device, comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 to determine dimensions and condition of the rim, multi-sectioned chamber 3 of water and acid stored in the first section to dispense an appropriate amount of water firstly and then after acid into the container, spout 4 arranged underneath the container to dispense acidic solution over the rim, a speaker 5 to notify the user to collect the rim, a rotatable disc 6 arranged at base of the second section via an extendable bar 7 to engage the rim in bar 7, a motor linked with the disc 6 to rotate for tumbling multiple pebbles, a box 8 is arranged in the second section via an electronically controlled valve to dispense a cleaning solution in the second section while polishing the rim."
