MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025412 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated and safe delivery parcels accommodation device.'
Inventor(s) include Meenakshi Verma.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated and safe delivery parcels accommodation device comprises of a body 1 positioned on a ground surface in proximity to front door of a house, a touch interactive display panel 2 arranged with the body 1 for providing input regarding details required by the individual prior accommodating parcels within the body 1, a speaker is integrated on the body 1 to produce audio notification for the user to guide the individual regarding set of information required from side of the individual, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 to determine facial features of the user, a user-interface installed in a computing unit for allowing the user to initiate opening of a motorized lid 4 configured on top portion of the body 1 to open for allowing the individual to accommodate parcel inside the body 1."
