MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014276 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'automated animal management device.'

Inventor(s) include Vinay Bhatia; Preeti; Jasmeet; and Ayan Bhaskar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated animal management device comprises an extendable cuboidal frame 1 positioned over a ground surface, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 3 positioned beneath the frame 1 to translate the frame 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed on the frame 1 to determine number and type of the animals, a radar gun 5 installed over the frame 1 to monitor walking speed of the animals, a sensing module installed over the frame 1 to determine presence of rain and sunlight, a motorized roller 6 arranged over the frame 1 for unwrapping waterproof sheet 2, a pair of grippers 7 arranged over the frame 1 through a motorized sliding unit 8 to grip the unwrapped sheet 2, a current detection sensor to monitor current, a speaker 9 installed over the frame 1 for voice notification, and a microphone 10 installed over the frame 1 to receive voice command."
