MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011907 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'automated artificial grass affixing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sunita Samanta.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated artificial grass affixing device, comprising a housing 101 positioned over ground surface layered with artificial grass, a touch interactive display panel 102 receives user input regrading affixing of artificial grass with surface, an imaging unit 103 installed over housing 101 determine dimensions of artificial grass, multiple motorized wheels 104 arranged beneath housing 101 translate housing 101 to position near artificial grass edges, a pair of robotic grippers 106 installed over lateral sides of housing 101 grip and lift edge of artificial grass, a chamber 201 arranged within housing 101 and installed with an electronic nozzle 107 dispense glue beneath grass, a pneumatic pusher 108 configured with housing 101 position pusher 108 in contact with grass, a quick return arrangement 109 installed between pusher 108 and housing 101 provide a reciprocatory movement to pusher 108 to apply a tapping movement over grass to attach the grass with the surface."
