MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024060 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated artificial grass cutting and storage device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Neeraj; and Dr. Sachin Gupta.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated artificial grass cutting and storage device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 positioned on a ground surface, a plurality of motorized wheels 2 for providing movement to body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for evaluating 3D mapping, a touch interactive display panel 4 for displaying mapping, a pair of L-shaped telescopic bars 5 arranged on the body 1, a motorized cutter 6 for cutting grass, pair of V-shaped members 7 to facilitate the cut grass, a motorized hinge joint 8 to tilt and position the members 7, a motorized roller 9 configured on body 1 via a U-shaped supporting link 11 for storing the cut grass, a pair of robotic grippers 10 to grip the cut grass, a motorized ball and socket joint to provide multi-axis rotational to the bars 5, weight sensor to monitor weight of rolled grass, a computing unit for notifying the user."
