MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007508 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'automated artificial grass fabrication device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ezhilarasan Ganesan.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated artificial grass fabrication device, comprising a housing 1 arranged with multiple rods 2 that provides support to housing 1 on a surface, a pair of rollers 3 wrapped with a metallic wire 4, a panel 5 for enabling a user to input details regarding a desired length of artificial grass, a spool 6 for unwinding a PVC sheet, an imaging unit 7 for determining free-ends of wires 4 and sheet, a pair of robotic grippers 8 inserting free-ends of wires 4 and sheet inside a iris aperture 9 that further grips free ends, a circular sliding unit 10 for rotating aperture 9 which aids in rotating wires 4 along with sheet, a pair of cutters 11 for cutting multiple strip from sheet, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting length of fabricated grass and a robotic arm 12 for wrapping grass around a drum 13 positioned within housing 1."
