MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013501 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'automated axle repairing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated axle repairing device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a surface, a pair of motorized clamping unit 2 securely gripping an axle which is manually placed by a user over clamping unit 2, an ultrasonic sensor detecting length of angle for actuating a sliding unit 3 to adjust distance between clamping unit 2 as per determined length, an artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 4 determines type of damage on axle for actuating welding torch 5 to perform welding over damage portion of axle, a pair of motorized hubs 6 provides rotation of axle, followed by actuation of machining tool 8 for removing excess material, plurality of optical sensors detecting surface finish of axle that is displayed over a display unit 9."
