MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017935 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'automated bamboo supporting structure installation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bamboo supporting structure installation device, comprising a housing 1 positioned on a ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 for providing input regarding detail regarding a supporting structure, a storage chamber 3 for storing multiple bamboos, a pair of robotic arms 4 to grip the bamboo, a conveyer belt 5 to accommodate the gripped bamboo, an AI-based imaging unit 6 to capture images of inside of the housing 1, a motorized cutter 7 to cut the ends of the bamboo, a telescopically operated rod 8 to extend for positioning the cutter 7, plurality of cutting dies 9 for slicing the bamboo, multiple extendable bars 10 to extend/retract for positioning the die, vertical roller 12 for unwrapping a string, clipper 13 for applying pressure at end of a loop for tying the loop around logs and a hot air blower 15 to blow dry the bamboo."
