MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079697 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 23, 2023, for 'automated barrel tilting device.'
Inventor(s) include Vikasdeep Mann; and Anikate Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated barrel tilting device comprises of a platform 1 configured with an extendable inverted U-shaped frame 2 via a pair of discs 3, a touch enabled screen 4 is installed on the platform 1 for enabling a user to give input commands regarding an angle up-till which the barrel is to be tilted, a camera 5 mounted on the platform 1 for capturing multiple images of the barrel for detecting dimensions of the barrel, a pair of C-shaped extendable members 6 installed with the frame 2 via a pair of telescopically operated rods 7, a pair of slider crank arrangements 8 configured between the platform 1 and disc 3, and an angle sensor positioned on the frame 2 for detecting angle of the frame 2, and weight sensor mapped on each of the members 6 for detecting weight of the barrel."
