MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014326 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'automated barricading system for animal prone areas.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Simarpreet Kaur; Preeti; Pearl; and Bhupinder Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated barricading system for animal prone areas, comprising plurality of frames 1 installed on roadside of an animal prone area, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determines presence of vehicles on road along with presence of animal near frames 1 and accordingly a pair of hydraulically operated rod extend for establishing a barricading, an ultrasonic sensor determines height of animal, an extendable sliding unit 4 get extended along with extension of rods 2, plurality of horizontal bars 5 get translated along sliding units 4 to restrict animal in moving towards road, a proximity sensor synced with imaging unit 3 for monitoring distance of animal from vehicle, a speaker 6 deters animal from road, an electromagnetically powered spring-based pusher 8 is integrated in a container 7 which launches balls in air towards animal to deter animal away."
