MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006904 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'automated battery pack manufacturing device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rajdeep Singh; Dr. Amresh Kumar; and Anuraag Tsewang Namgail.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated battery pack manufacturing device, comprises of a platform 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to platform 1 on a ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 4 for enabling a user to input details, a first robotic gripper 5 withdraws and placing batteries on platform 1 which is detected by laser sensor, a first robotic link 6 for engaging a C-shaped jaw 7 with each terminal of withdrawn batteries, an imaging unit 8 detects successful arranging of batteries, two telescopically operated U-shaped clamp 9 secures batteries on platform 1, a motorized roller 10 for rotating on its axis to unwrap a metallic strip pre-wrapped on roller 10, a motorized scissor 11 cuts strip, a second robotic gripping for battery's terminals, a third robotic link 14 places a soldering unit 15 near strips for connecting strips with terminals via molten lead to manufacture battery pack."
