MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020712 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated bearing block installation device.'
Inventor(s) include Ramandeep Deorda; Ravinder Singh; Simranjot Singh; and Sukhnik Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bearing block installation device, comprising a body 1 positioned on a fixed surface with an installed artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for capturing and processing images of the vicinity around the body 1 and determine the location of bearing installation. to aid in the installation process the body 1 moves towards the machinery with plurality of motorized wheels 3, wherein the brush 4 arranged on the body 1 by a L-shaped telescopic rod 5 cleans the bearing, an ultrasonic sensor to monitor the dimension of the bearing based on the dimension a pair of robotic arms 6 access appropriate block from a multi-sectioned chamber 7, wherein a laser measurement sensor monitors the alignment of the block with the bearing and a grinding blade 8 grinds the protruding part of the block to align correctly on the bearing via an angle sensor that monitors angle of protruded part."
