MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020716 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated bicycle customizing device.'
Inventor(s) include Satwinder Singh; Dr. Amresh Kumar; Dr. Rachin Goyal; and Lovepreet Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bicycle customizing device comprises a platform 1 crafted with a slot 2 that is accessed by a user for accommodating a bicycle on the platform 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the platform 1 to determine model of the bicycle, a touch interactive display panel 4 arranged on the platform 1 for displaying list of the evaluated customizable accessories, an ultrasonic sensor is integrated on the platform 1 for monitoring positioning of existing parts of the bicycle, a pair of robotic arms 5 installed on the platform 1 by means of a motorized sliding unit 6 to translate the arms 5 for accessing a multi-sectioned chamber 7 arranged on the platform 1, and a pair of clippers 8 integrated on the arms 5 for acquiring a grip over different components of the bicycle."
