MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531017971 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 28, for 'automated bicycle safety support device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Saroj Kumar Acharya.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bicycle safety support device comprises of a U-shaped telescopic member 101, having electromagnetic clamps 102 at the ends, configured to be attached with a pedal of a bicycle, a telescopic link 103 having a V-shaped rod at an end, attached with the member 101 by means of a ball and socket joint, each end of the rod having a cuboidal rubberized structures 104 joined by means of pneumatic actuators 105, an ultrasonic sensor provided in the member 101 to detect distance between the member 101 and the ground surface to accordingly extend the link 103 to support the bicycle, plurality of pneumatic actuators 105 installed within the structures 104, extending pins via iris holes provided on bottom surfaces of the structures 104 for digging into a ground surface for rigid support, an imaging unit 106, to determine an misbalanced bicycle and a terrain beneath the bicycle."
