MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019815 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'automated box packaging device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Bhagyalaxmi Behera.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated box packaging device, comprising a housing 101 positioned on a ground surface and installed with a conveyer to be placed with boxes to be packed, a touch enabled screen 102 for enabling a user to give input commands for packaging said boxes, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 for detecting presence of said boxes on said conveyer, a pair of telescopically operated grippers 104 for gripping and positioning said boxes on said platform in a successive manner, a pair of DC (Direct Current) motors for rotating said bars which in turn results in rotation of said frame 105 in view of wrapping said sheet around said box in said successive manner and a speaker 108 for notifying said user to collect said boxes from said tray."
