MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411009487 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 12, 2024, for 'automated brazing device for rods.'
Inventor(s) include Arun Kumar Pipersenia; and Kul Bhushan Anand.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated brazing device for rods, comprises of a frame 1 having a handle that is accessed by a user for holding frame 1 in proximity to a first rod that is to be joined with second rod, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 installed on frame 1 to determine thickness of first rod positioned in proximity to frame 1, a motorized primary clamping unit 3 positioned on frame 1 to grip an end of first rod where second rod is to be connected, a motorized secondary clamping unit 4 mapped on frame 1 for gripping end of second rod in a manner such that end of second rod positioned on top of first rod's end, and a robotic arm 7 is positioned on frame 1 to access a container mapped on frame stored with a metallic filler material for gripping and filling a required amount of material into structure."
