MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007482 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'automated brick laying assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated brick laying assistive device, comprises of a platform 1 utilize to position on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 integrated with the platform 1 to determine presence and pattern of gapping in between bricks laid over the surface, a pair of robotic arms 3 are arranged on the platform 1 for gripping and positioning a brick positioned in proximity to the platform 1 over a disc 4 integrated on the platform 1, an ultrasonic sensor integrated on the platform 1 for monitoring dimensions of the brick, a motorized grinding blade 5 arranged on the platform 1 to perform cutting of the brick as per the evaluated pattern, and a hydraulically operated gripper 7 is arranged on the platform 1 for positioning a plate 8 integrated on the gripper 7 on surface of the gapping."
